The lenses are polarized PC (polycarbonate). Detour notes this is an upgrade over traditional TAC lenses because the lens material is injected around the polarized filter, helping prevent the layers from separating—something they say can happen in humid, high-temperature conditions or if you store sunglasses in your car.
For real-world use around water, the Breach includes a salt water resistant lens coating, described as a barrier that helps protect against salt particles and helps extend lens life.
