Breach XL - Matte Black - Silver Bullet Polarized ANSI Z87+ is made for people who need a true XL wraparound fit without giving up clarity, comfort, or job-site-ready protection. If most sunglasses feel tight, pinch your temples, or fail to cover your eye area, this model is built to fit Large/XL faces best while staying secure during long days on the water or at work.
The Silver Bullet lenses are polarized and UV400 protective, helping cut glare and define details when you are looking at reflective surfaces. Breach XL uses polarized PC (polycarbonate) lenses, with the lens material injected around the polarized filter to help prevent layers from separating (something that can happen in humid, high-temperature conditions or when sunglasses are stored in a car). For harsh coastal use, the salt resistant lens coating adds a barrier to protect against salt particles and help extend lens life. A hydrophobic coating repels water to keep your vision clear and reduce the need to wipe lenses dry.
Breach XL is ANSI Z87+ rated for safety eyewear needs. The Z87+ collection meets ANSI Z.87 impact requirements, and all ANSI Z87+ sunglasses are impact resistant and FDA and ANSI Z87+ approved. Comfort features include spring hinges for an easier fit, plus no slip rubber nose and temple tips to help keep the frame in place.

FIT & SIZING
Fit Guide: Our Breach XL frame fits Large/XL faces best. Measurements shown: 152 mm (front width), 65 mm (lens width), 52 mm (lens height), 19 mm (bridge), 152 mm (temple length). Detour notes their XL sunglasses are roughly 8%–10% bigger than their average size and are recommended if sunglasses normally feel tight or do not cover all of your eye region.

Our Breach line uses polarized PC (polycarbonate) lenses. This is a huge upgrade over traditional TAC lenses since the lens material is injected around the polarized filter. This prevents these layers from ever separating which can be common in humid high temperature locations or if you store your sunglasses in your car. 

The Salt resistant lens coating adds a barrier to protect against salt particles which helps extends the life of your lenses. The Hydrophobic coating will repel water keeping your vision clear and reducing the need to wipe your lenses dry, again extending the life of your lenses. Reducing the need to wipe saltwater (basically rubbing tiny salt particles into your lenses) is a huge plus to keeping your lenses in great shape.
